Track your time. Your reasoning for that last tip is exactly why we do it. Tracking all of our time, billable and non billable, has not only wasted less of our time, but also made us more profitable because we are tracking the billable time more accurately. Anyways, the software we use is called <a href="http://www.myintervals.com" title="Intervals" rel="nofollow">Intervals</a>, which we built and use because of the tips in this blog post.
